Growth Experiments.
There is something very fascinating to me about the way plants grow and decay, manipulating that process was my first goal. I began by growing seed in dryer lint, documenting the growth daily and comparing them with regular seeds in dirt. the images above are the aftermath of the proccess, seeds grown and then decayed in lint to create a root fabric. This process is still my favorite part of art making, when in doubt throw some seeds in dirt or on a rock and by the time they sprout you’ll have your idea.
